Introduction: 

Iron (II) sulfide is a chemical compound with the formula FeS. In practice, iron sulfides are 

often non-stoichiometric. Powdered iron sulfide is pyrophoric.

FeS, Ferrous Sulphide or Iron Sulfide can be obtained by reacting iron and sulfur.

Properties: Iron Sulfide improves cutting ability of those metals, inoculation effect and graphite 

morphology, and raise mechanical properties of gray iron casting.
